General Terms and Conditions

Bookings, Pricing and Payment: 
 
The photographer’s pricing for photo sessions may be adjusted at any time. Current details of the photographer’s pricing for photo sessions and Artwork Price List will be provided to you at the time of arranging the date of your photo session, and prior to confirming your photo session booking. The prices detailed in the Artwork Price List are guaranteed for three months following the date of the photo session, after which they may be adjusted in line with the photographer’s periodic adjustments to pricing and price lists.

 

A booking deposit is required to secure photo session bookings, and the balance is payable on the day of the photo session. For in-studio sessions the fee is $50. For outdoor pet photography sessions, the deposit is 50% of the package price. By paying the booking deposit, you agree you have received, read, and understood the photographer’s pricing for photo sessions and artwork. The booking deposit is non-refundable, however, if circumstances arise that prevent the photoshoot from going ahead on the planned date, the photo session can be rescheduled to another date by giving notice to the photographer not less than 24 hours prior to the planned time and date of the photo session.  In the event that notice is given less than 24 hours prior to the photo session, a rescheduling fee $35 may apply.

 

Upgrade options and pre-purchased artwork must be paid in full on or before the date of the photo session in order to receive the discounted pricing associated with the upgrade or pre-purchase offer.

Truffle Community Certificates and Gift Certificates

​

No booking deposit is required when redeeming a valid Truffle Community Certificate or Gift Certificate.

 

Truffle Community Certificates and Gift Certificates and are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit in part or full.  Gifted artwork products included in Certificates cannot be exchanged for cash or credit in part or full.

Community Certificates should be registered within the period shown on the certificate or accompanying letter. Once registered, we'll work with you to arrange your portrait session at a mutually convenient time. If circumstances prevent you from registering within that period, please contact us. We'll always do our best to help.

The Photo Session:
 
Childhood Portrait Sessions and Pet Studio Sessions are normally held in the Truffle Photo studio in Deagon. Outdoor sessions may be available by arrangement where appropriate.  The photographer reserves the right to refuse any specific location requests, in particular with respect to safety, practicality or travelling distance.  In the case of travelling distance, the request may be accepted subject to an additional fee.

Safety Considerations:
​
The client acknowledges that they are aware of and understand the presence of outdoors dangers including but not limited to snakes, ticks, other animals and road traffic. The client agrees to be present during the entire photo session, and acknowledges that they are and continue to be responsible for their children's and pets' health and safety during the photoshoot, and the health and safety of all other people and animals that may come in contact with their pets during the photoshoot.
The client’s pets must be accompanied by at least one person per pet. In the event that the client is not able to arrange sufficient persons for the number of their pets, the photographer will arrange for a professional handler(s) to attend the session. The fees of the professional handler(s) will be paid by the client, in addition to the photo session fee.

Rescheduling due to adverse weather:

The client understands that adverse weather conditions may require the photoshoot session to be rescheduled to an alternative date, incurring no additional photo session fee. Fees of any professional handler(s) engaged for the session will be subject to that handler(s)’ conditions of engagement.
 
Image proofs:
 
Following the photoshoot, the photographer will produce a gallery of photo image proofs within 14 days of the photo session. The image proofs will be revealed to the client at an Image Reveal / Artwork Consultation appointment.

Purchase of Artwork:
 
Payment for artwork is payable at the time of order placement. Once the order has been placed with the printers, it cannot be refunded. In the case of artwork credit included in the photo session or booking fee and/or any artwork credit included as part of an upgrade option, the credit will be applied to the total price of the client's order and the client will pay any balance over and above the credit amount. The artwork credit must be redeemed within six months from the date of release of the image proofs to the client. No refund will be given for any unredeemed artwork credit or portion thereof.
 
​Copyright and Use of Image Permissions:

All images are and remain copyright of the photographer.  Images resulting from the photoshoot may not under any circumstances be altered or cropped in any way.  Purchase of high resolution digital images and/or session packages which include high resolution digital images will be subject to a Digital Image Licence Agreement for Personal, Non-Commercial Use.

Web optimised images provided or purchased in addition to an artwork order may be shared on social media platforms, subject to the condition that credit is given to the photographer.

​Truffle Photo loves sharing favourite photographs to help other families discover the portrait experience.  Unless you tell us otherwise, you agree that selected images from your session may be used on the Truffle Photo website, social media, printed promotional material and other marketing relating to Truffle Photo.  If you would prefer your family's images not be used, simply let us know at any time before or after your session. We will always respect your decision.
